RINA P. ORTIZ is a senior Iyengar yoga teacher who founded Iyengar Yoga Center Manila in the Philippines. Her early search for truth and meaning in life brought her to the feet of Guruji BKS Iyengar and since then she makes annual pilgrimages to study under him and his children, Geetaji and Prashantji. Inspired by the method of Guruji, she continues on her yogic journey weaving in lessons learned on the mat with her daily life. Her classes are infused with the technical aspects of asana and the philosophy behind the practice. |

MONICA DEL ROSARIO completed three years of teacher training at the Iyengar Centre of Hong Kong, where she received her certification. Her first Iyengar Yoga experience was a three day workshop in 2001 conducted by a visiting Senior Iyengar Yoga teacher from Holland. The workshop left her with an unmistakable sense that she needed to learn more. This kickstarted her exclusive learning and practice of Iyengar Yoga. Over the years, she has attended Iyengar Yoga intensives and workshops in different countries. Since her certification, Monica spends 1-2 months at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute for ongoing studies. |
